Blinking Red Light – Blackberry 8120

I just got a new phone, a T-Mobile Blackberry 8120 with WI-FI…off of ebay of course, and I have my phone unlocked using it on my AT&T plan. My old phone, a  Blackberry 8100, served me well for two years but it was just time for an upgrade. The new 8120 is great, it feels and looks alot more sturdy and works great so far. Until I ran into a couple of problems.

Nokia E71x – Mobile Gmail

I use Gmail for all my email needs so when purchasing a new phone it was a top priority that it be able to use Mobile Gmail. When I found out the Nokia E71x had that and was a good price I bought it. I immediately tried to install Mobile Gmail and  ran into a Invalid Jar File error which you can read about in my other post.

Nokia E71x – Invalid Jar File

I just got my Nokia E71x from Wal-Mart. It has wifi and I was getting excited about installing the Gmail mobile app. I went immediately to the Google mobile website and tried installing it without any luck. I ran into an error saying “Invalid Jar File”.  I scowered the internet trying to find any information on the Nokia E71x with very little luck. After some trial and error I finally rebooted my phone and it installed just fine. I’ll be posting some more things about the Nokia E71x as I discover them.

Problem: Invalid Jar File when trying to download installation file.

Solution: Reboot Phone.
